Try your hand at the gavel and enter the Novice Auctioneers Competition this March in the East division of the REINSW Novice Auctioneers Competition.
The winner is not determined by the price they gain for the item being auctioned. Rather, your confidence and poise, ability to describe the item and how you control the bidding will be assessed.

- Make a guest appearance to auction a charity item at the 2016 REIQ and REINSW State of Origin Auctioneers Competition

Entry criteria
In order to be eligible to enter the REINSW Novice Auctioneers Competition, you must comply with the following entry criteria:
- You are over 16 years of age and be living in New South Wales
- You are able to source an item to auction valued at over $100
- You have completed six property auctions or less in the past twelve months and no more than 8 in your career
- You have less than six months experience as a livestock or chattel auctioneer
